LAST ISIS @ COLORAMA
CROWN
A NEW OLD TOOTH,
A CAST OF THE FORMER,
SITS WHERE THE LATTER ONCE BIT,
IT SITS QUITE OBTRUSIVELY,
WELDED IN PLACE,
IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER,
OF MY MOUTH,
IN MY FACE,
AND I CAN'T HELP BUT PROFUSELY,
CIRCLE MY TONGUE,
AROUND THIS OLD THING,
THAT FEELS FAR TOO YOUNG,
TO SKILLFULLY KNAW,
AND CHEW WITH THE REST,
IN THE FIRST STAGE OF EATING,
BEFORE I DIGEST.

From narrow views of exoticised
lands
-to the escape of space altogether,
Looking through interconnected eyes
abundant with lies,
Surveying the skies,
Then slapping a single hand and
thigh, together.
We might wonder if…
All these economical escapades
allude to ways of avoiding frays,
When chemicals pay for a sunshine
day
-despite the local, nasty, weather.
Though whether the gist, is caught
in mist, clearly seen and frisked;
-I don’t endeavor.
To question, clamour and fuse,
Incommensurable views,
The obsessive idea of a muse, focussed
(?) or confused,
Interrogated to the point of
diminishing; content-abused,
Tied so tight I worry that the space
for the imaginary might lose…
A future hidden,
Depth-within-a-reflective-surface,
Utopian space without purpose,
Lost within the decaying materiality
of the real,
Questionable chiasm, between what
you think and what you feel,
Articulating sense,
Climbing a subjective fence of
communication,
Then falling into abstraction,
Almost-voids within glass, space
sucked,
Of a vacuous present, sparse,
Though generous vision,
An idea that lasts,
Light taking the blame, extinguishing
flame,
Investigating the international
energy game,
An urgent. Pressing. Matter.
Atoms that hold,
Photons that blast,
A fusion of future and past,
Held in tension that lasts,
Plus the quivering motion of one
thousands blades of green grass…
Objects,
Have,
Potential.
The space shuttle Endeavor straddling the Stratosphere and
Mesosphere of Earth's horizon
